Effect of different concentration of seaweed organic fertilizer on cherry growth

The experiment of spraying different concentration of seaweed organic fertilizer on 7 years old sweet cherry trees was carried out. The results showed that the application of 300 times and 500 times of special seaweed organic liquid fertilizer at the germination stage, before flowering and at fruit setting stage could significantly improve the fruit setting rate, fruit weight, soluble solid content and vitamin C content of flowers. The 700-fold spray was less effective than the first two treatments.

Experimental site: Cherry Orchard, Beizhai Street, Laoshan District, Qingdao, Shandong

Soil condition: piedmont terraced field, soil forming type slope impinged soil, soil type brown soil, medium soil texture, soil PH value 6.7, organic matter content 1.25%, medium fertility

Variety: Meizao, with red light and Choice as pollinating varieties, 3-year old cherry seedlings planted in spring 2007

Treatment: Four treatments were set, spraying 300 times, 500 times and 700 times of foliar-specific seaweed organic liquid fertilizer at germination stage, pre-flowering stage and fruiting stage, respectively. Each treatment cell was repeated for 3 times, and randomly arranged in the direction parallel to the terrace. The four treatments are:

Ⅰ : 300 times the leaf surface special seaweed organic liquid fertilizer

Ⅱ : 500 times the leaf surface special algae organic liquid fertilizer

Ⅲ : 700 times the leaf surface special algae organic liquid fertilizer

Ⅳ : Water control (CK)
